UEH Advances digital transformation with Innovative Pedagogical Center (IPC) under the Erasmus+ DIGITAL MOVE Project

As part of the Erasmus+ project “DIGITAL MOVE – Bridging the Digital Divide between Mongolia and Vietnam through Digital Transformation in Higher Education,” the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) has developed the Innovative Pedagogical Center (IPC) model within the Academy of Technology and Design (ATD). This marks a significant milestone in UEH’s digital-transformation strategy and its commitment to advancing modern teaching, learning, and community outreach.

IPC plays a pivotal role in UEH’s efforts to provide high-quality, application-focused training for students, staff, and the broader community. Through the project, the center has expanded its mission of knowledge transfer, expert consulting, and policy contribution by integrating innovative pedagogical models and strengthening digital-learning infrastructure. Leveraging diverse offerings – ranging from data analysis, digital transformation, multimedia design, to professional development workshops -, IPC has enhanced teaching quality through updated content, modern learning technologies, and a learner-centered approach.

Through the support of DIGITAL MOVE, IPC accelerates UEH’s transition toward innovative teaching practices by:

  • Strengthening digital-learning ecosystems via UEH’s LMS, MakerSpace, and specialized training facilities;
  • Updating short-term training programs to integrate digital pedagogy, active learning, and interdisciplinary applications;
  • Expanding community outreach through free classes, volunteer programs for rural youth, and talk shows on data, design, and innovation;
  • Enhancing knowledge-transfer initiatives for government agencies, businesses, and international partners.

The center also benefits from strong collaborations with major partners such as Microsoft, IBM, VNPT, PetroVietnam, EVN HCMC, the Department of Home Affairs HCMC, and many others. These partnerships ensure that training programs meet real-world needs and equip learners with skills required in a rapidly evolving digital economy.

With the development of IPC, UEH reinforces its commitment to becoming a regional hub for technology, innovation, and digital pedagogy. The center will continue to scale impactful training and knowledge-transfer activities, supporting the university’s vision to become a global leader in short-term training by 2030 and contributing actively to Vietnam’s inclusive digital-transformation agenda.
