From LMS-UEH to E-Learning Global: UEH’s Mark on Digital Transformation in Education

The LMS–UEH online learning system, implemented since 2016, has become a core technological infrastructure supporting lecturers in teaching and research. With modern virtual classroom features such as video, audio, and multimedia solutions, the LMS enables flexible, effective, and digitally aligned knowledge delivery to students.

Within the framework of the Erasmus+ project “Bridging the Digital Gap between Mongolia and Vietnam through Digital Transformation in Higher Education Institutions” (DIGITAL MOVE), UEH expanded LMS capabilities to develop digital learning materials and disseminate digital-transformation experience to the wider community. Building on this foundation, UEH launched the UEH Global Learning project, aiming to popularize knowledge and support digital transformation for educational institutions, especially in regions facing challenges in implementing online teaching and learning, such as the Mekong Delta.

Through the project, UEH successfully transferred the UEH Global E-Learning System, which includes an online examination toolkit (for both written and multiple-choice tests), an exam-paper/answer-sheet randomization tool available at https://global.ueh.edu.vn/, and an AI-powered multiple-choice grading system that uses regular scanners at https://chamthitracnghiem.ueh.edu.vn/. To ensure the wide adoption of these tools, UEH collaborated with the Department of Education and Training of Vinh Long Province to organize technical-transfer training courses and share online-teaching experience with teachers from high schools, secondary schools, and primary schools across 13 provinces in the Mekong Delta.

The project’s impact is evident through its outreach scale and practical application. The UEH Global E-Learning system has engaged more than 2,000 high school teachers through training activities and supported over 7,000 students and parents who used the platform for high-school graduation exam preparation and career orientation. Notably, the transferred tools and platforms continue to be maintained and used today, contributing to improved teaching and learning quality and helping schools in the Mekong Delta gradually adapt to digital education.

By developing and disseminating educational technology solutions, the project not only strengthened UEH’s digital-transformation capacity but also created sustainable impact for local educational communities, helping to narrow the digital gap and promote equal access to knowledge for students and teachers across the Mekong Delta.
